Writing on Architecture

Upcoming talk with AIA|DC’s Emerging Architects Committee, June 27

I’m delighted to announce an upcoming talk on Social Media and Branding with AIA|DC’s Emerging Architects Committee as part of the organization’s Mentoring Workshop series. This year’s theme for the Mentoring Workshops is Life Hacks, and the program offers ways of improving personal and professional practice through sessions on topics that include work/life balance, sketching, and architecture as a business.

From the EAC:

“Life Hack #2: Social Media and Branding” will explore the idea of creating a multi-platform social media presence with Brutalist DC founder Deane Madsen, Assoc. AIA. Whether you like or loathe digital tools such as Twitter and Instagram, they’re becoming increasingly important means of expanding your professional horizons, continuing architectural discourse, picking up on industry trends, and potentially meeting clients. How you develop your social media brand is becoming as important as the contents of your portfolio. Join the AIA|DC Emerging Architects Committee to discuss strategies for crafting a personal brand that can underscore the work you already do.

WHEN: Tuesday, June 27, 2017, 6.30–8.00pm
WHERE: Page Architects, 1615 M St NW #700, Washington, DC 20036
